Running

For the past 20 years, Calton Athletic Recovery Group had been represented in the annual Great Scottish Run. This is an event that not only our current but past members make an effort to run in, with some of them having completed it every year for the past 20 years. We also participate in the Edinburgh half marathon, and some of our members had the desire and ambition to go on to complete the full marathon. This was an amazing achievement for the individuals who competed in the run and they managed to raise funds through sponsorship for the group as we solely rely on self generated funds to continue our unique service.

We also participate in the Great North run and our famous red t-shirts are very well recognised everywhere we go as we continue to inspire others.

S.M.N.D 10K Strathclyde Park/Mens Health 10K

Every year, we participate in these two high profile runs in Glasgow. The former is in support of the Scottish Motor Neurone Disease Chairty but also gives us another opportunity to lead by example. Fortunately, our group have been highlighted for our efforts in the S.M.N.D newsletter over the past few years. Helping other charities as well as giving back to the community is equally important to our organisation.

We are proud of the fact that we also have a strong presence in the Men's Health run every year that takes place in Bellahouston Park

In addition, we continue to start every new year running over the Carman Hill in the Cardross area.
